Bringing The Buddha Home: This Buddha series began many years back in a dream. I am working with collaged photos of places I've been in the Southwest mixed with Buddha images. I am drawn to the juxtaposition of stark landscapes and lush patterns. This series of prints is a combining of healing and harmonious elements. The photo print process I am using is Image On film on zinc plates. There is a velvety richness when they are printed black on white.
I believe it is very important to see images that resonate with ones higher self. In a culture bombarded by images there isn't always a choice in the visual landscapes around us. With this series, my intention is to visually manifest the Buddha here in our Arizona land.
