Susan Ritter
I want my work to be thought provoking, to have a message. When I slowly pull a finished piece from the press bed and am filled with a sense of awe, perhaps even a little "wow," then I'm happy. I know the etching will speak to others as it speaks to me.
I'm inspired by views, objects, animals and people that others might not notice. I look to the simple and commonplace to impart what I have to say.
